Important safety information — GLP-1 medications

Boxed warning (Semaglutide, Tirzepatide): In rodent studies these medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors. It is unknown whether they cause medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in humans. Do not use if you or a family member have a history of MTC or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, decreased appetite, fatigue, and injection-site reactions. Serious risks may include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, kidney injury (from dehydration), severe hypoglycemia (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), allergic reactions, diabetic retinopathy complications, and suicidal ideation.

Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if you have a history of pancreatitis, severe gastrointestinal disease (including gastroparesis), or known hypersensitivity to GLP-1 receptor agonists. Retatrutide is investigational and not FDA-approved for any indication.

Report side effects to your prescribing provider immediately. You may also report adverse events to the FDA at fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088. For medical emergencies, call 911.
